    • Returned from camping and the wife is at work so I finished the rear section of the overhead unit.

I had left the foam and fake leather long so I could fasten another piece of wood to fill the arch shape across the top.

I just superglued it in place, cut it to size and pop the seal back on.

Not the most ground breaking stuff but another job ticked off the list. The foam makes such a difference and makes the whole thing more tactile to the touch.

Yes....lots. Especially animal skin, albeit fake this time.

            • I made a table.

I only had two requirements. It must be quick to erect (shut up) and cost very little.

I used the left over wood from the shelves, wheel arch boxes and overhead storage facia so everything matches.

A dollop of wood glue and some screws brace them together.

That leaves you with a table top. Not to everybody's taste, I'm certain, but you could use what ever wood you liked.

                  Next attach the stool.

A couple of pipe clips will suffice.

It folds away in half a second and will easily hold two Mojitos with ease. Total cost is 6.50ish. That piece of wood left by the bin has been well and truly recycled.

Now it's ready for field testing.

                      • Now that the days are cooling down a bit it's possible to do work on the van, that's my excuse for having to find this thread on page two again. I also have a four day trip looming and this always revives a bit of spirit for the old thing.
                        Little jobs today.

Speakers placed for a little trial fitting, if I like them here I will tidy the box up somewhat but first a test.

This will leave the two pairs in the back for my second stereo project I'm playing around with. More on that later.

I wrapped the handle in plastic leather and I'm in no way happy with them but I haven't yet found a better solution so they can stay for now.

                          • Next up was the lack of anchorage points in the back for....well....anchorage. So I used the old handles from the tool chest that became the kitchenette cupboard thingy.

After a trail fit they are prepped in the spray booth.

Black first before a dusting of copper.

Back in the van ready for action. The steel work will be covered in grey plastic leather shit soon so they should look tidy after that.
All ground breaking stuff, I'm sure you will agree. On a side note, does anybody know how much no more tears shampoo you have to rub in a baby's eyes to stop it crying? Asking for a friend.
