Yellow paint ideas

Anyone got a yellow van with a slightly different yellow to the usual AA?

I'm looking toward painting my van and want something yellow but a bit different.

Slim Jims yellow on this thread looks great, but looks like he's not been around since 2015? Haha.

BMW did a good yellow back I. The late 90s. Think it was called Dakar yellow?? Give it a google

The Renault cup yellow is really nice, or the Daytona yellow. Mines ral 1003 signal yellow with a clear coat of silver fleck on top.

Awesome, cheers guys. Some great yellows there. Really liking that Renault Cup yellow, only thing that's bugging me is that it must be a pearlescent layer clear coat or something as well? Something else to get wrong haha. I might do a test spray on something.



If that doesn't work then the flat Dakar or Panama yellows might be the way I go! Or patchwork like the guy Hans posted

£195 for 2.5 litre kit of the j37 Renault "liquid yellow".

3 stage pearlescent 2k paint. Might buy 500ml of it to do on the bonnet or rear doors as a test.

After some advice from Reg (cheers) on spraying 3 stage pearlescent paint as my first spray job, I've changed from the Renault Liquid Yellow to the Ford Tangerine Scream.



Saw a Focus ST in it today and it made my mind up. And only a 2 stage Pearl, so much easier to spray.

Going to buy a small amount to spray the bonnet and see how it looks.
