Depends on the kids age but if they still want to go away with you I’ll assume young to early teens. In which case then maybe a futon style thing so you can store shit in it whilst you’re traveling and then the whole thing becomes a bed at night.

Then when the kids are no longer interested you could plaster it in leopard print carpet, fix a mirror and swing to the ceiling and have a filthy weekend shag pad for you and the Mrs. If you are married then rather than the above I’d suggest a games room/man cave to get away from her and her shit.

Sounds like the awkward age my daughter is approaching then. Maybe a bunk and 1 single. I’d probably go for a bunk on one side with the bottom one close to the floor and the other as close as comfortable to the ceiling and then a middle height single across the back so they’re in an ‘L’ shape layout as that’ll give floor space and it there’s enough room to have the top bunk fold up that can use it as a sofa and have a TV or something in there to keep them occupied. If they’re approaching teens then have tiktok and Facebook setup on it so you and Mrs Jameswhite1 can have your own holiday as they won’t be interested in walking or anything remotely interesting or non mind numbing.
