Thanks for the pics so far, not sure sparkly blue will work for me

A set of wind deflectors is on my list and being dark they do seem to tie in nicely with darker mirrors, think I'll give the satin black spray a go, worst case i can take the covers off or repalce the mirrors completely if that buggers.

cant remove the side bars, wife likes them!

My initial leaning is to satin black to match the doorhandles.

Bin the covers and the chrome side bars, chrome went out in the 70s, no colour coding either as it ain't the 90s. OEM or OEM+ is where its at. A rattle can of satin black is your friend.

Being an old stick in the mud i like the standard black mirrors and textured black bumpers for that matter. But i'll pop a couple a photos of Molls blue bus up with colour coded bumpers and hot rod sparkle mirrors.

    Show me your van's faces!

Ok an excuse for you all to post some pictures.

My van has some old pitted chrome effect mirror covers fitted and i cant decide what do do with them....

Remove them (probably messy and might mean replacing the mirrors afterwards anyway)
Paint them Red to match the van
Paint them Black to contrast (satin / gloss)
Replace them with new chrome effect covers to match the sidebars

would give photoshop a try but figured we've probably got every option covered on here.
Working...
