  • Fitting carpeted boards back in bus?

    So, the insulation is finished.

Interior card is carpeted (eventually) and the bit of welding to the floor is being done on Wednesday.

I want to put to carpeted interior back in place, it's an all window bus so only half height cards.

Am thinking, rather than screwing them back in place to try something like 'No Nails', silicon, contact adhesive but obviously, if I needed to remove them at any time then it's going to be a real pain in the a&^%

Anyone tried any of the options above with success?

My other alternative is to use the plastic 'studs'(?) but that is going to take a lot of work, lot of drilling :-(

    Any advice greatly appreciated!

I refitted ours and used counter sunk screws and cups. You can see em but they look neat almost factory fit. Got the rest to do so will put a picture of the screws and cups up when I get some more if it helps.

            Yea they work well.
I put everything in with them then replaced them with stainless screws.

I've got a few of them from Aldi but I like the above as they are a bit more chunky mate.

Yes, guess they look a bit cheap. But Greeny's technique is good, no drill bits sticking through the van as towel hock[emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]

You have to put somthing through first as the stainless ones won't thread and just blunt.

Its slow going, cold forecast for the weekend not sure what temp you can use the trim glue. So may get the towbar I had from Hans on and cherry blossom the back bumper while its off. Still got pillars to do in light grey but its coming together.
