Boost gauge is easy to connect. Especially if you get an analogue one and you don't want it lit. Just connect to a vac line on the turbo manifold.

In for a penny in for a pound, I have a digital one on mine. Took a feed from the switched live on the radio to replace the analog one that was in it. Only problem is it just reads up to 5 psi most of the time or 9 if I give it some time to get up there with my foot down.
I thought I know I’ll google some pictures see what everyone else has. Didn’t help though.... but be interested to see what others have to show.

On the bend near to the turbo that has the egr on it there is a little vac pipe. Connect to that.
Off you Google t4 1.9td boost gauge a load of pics for what ever reason I can't even down load one for you. It seems that my internet provider has blocked porn....

When checking how to fit i found an article that states standard boost is 9psi, is this correct.

Also I'm looking at 2 different dials first boosting up to 30 and second up to 2. Am I right in thinking 2 is 20?

30 psi is around 2 bar so it's the same thing just different way of measuring it.

Mine (now I have removed the bleed valve) tops out at about 11psi
