    Rocking Chair.

Picked this up last year. It pivots on a centre bolt on a bronze bush. Trouble is its a bit of a rocking chair. Anyone any ideas how to tighten it up. Thought about welding a wheel bearing in to replace the pivot. Anyone seen one the same, is it homemade, is it safe? Click image for larger version.

Is it just the tolerances Si? Or you think the centre spindle is worn and not up to the weight of the Shires finest backsides?

Would larger diameter spindle cure it perhaps? Ask Kev to turn you a new spindle and brass bearing / raced bearing?

Think its just poor tolerances Rob. Its either a well made homemade job or a poor bought one.

    It's a poor bought one.

Same as what's in my van.

There's no way I was putting my faith in one single 10/12mm bolt - so it got modified.

They do rock and creak as standard

The ones I've seen used a single cheap Chinesium bolt too....
