    Hi everyone
Been a follower of the T4 for a while now and have owned mines for a year or so. I bought it with a snapped timing belt for £400 and spent another £1400 getting it sorted it's been running like a dream for the past year and I love it. It was a 2003 panel van 2.5tdi 102bhp 257k on clock now more like 150bhp after being bored out etc. when it got repaired. I have rx8 bucket seats in it and converted the back to a slid out double bed for me and the missus to enjoy the weekends nearly finished the inside and will post pics when complete. I have the dreaded clunk noise coming from the front end and changed the front suspension for new ones and also put Polly bushes in the steering rack but still the clunk is there I've checked everything and it's all tight any suggestions would be welcomed.

Have you done the top joints? Not a fan of polly bush's got a Defender in for test which was built from the ground up by a Land Rover bloke a year and a half ago and tested last week failed on every bush on the vehicle. The OEM ones are a better bet for me. Cant wait to see the inside . Welcome to the mad house. Looks a nice van.

Hello welcome and enjoy, where abouts are you?

Ball joints are a common, but like Si said Polly bushes are not all they are advertised to be. I have them on my (Don't start you lot!!) Scimitar that does low mileage and they have been in a couple of years some are split some are oval some just have play. Unless you need the stiffness for track use etc I would stick to rubber.

Hi and welcome. Red ones don't need fixing, they sort themselves out.

The red ones were the ones that went oval.

Hi all thanks for the comments.
The knocking noise is when I go over a speed bump or 5p piece lol. U have bought new bottom and top ball joints and track for ends but to be honest the ones on it look fine. I'm going to swap put the anti roll bar bushes as that's an easy fix. I did buy the oem bushes for the steering rack but they where a nightmare to get in when doing it under the van so lessons learnt there.
I will post more pics soon.
                      Take care all!!!!
