It only flipping passed its Mot. One advisory: damaged lower front suspension ball joint dust cover (but preventing the ingress of dirt) now the fun of the build begins.

Got my van home today, finally after weeks of anticipation. First job was to clean in it. Christ it was Filthy. So dirty that i think it needs another wash.
Next job was to make the cab a bit more habitable.
Re covered the spare drivers seat with the kit from veedubtransporters. Bit of a pig to fit and the elastic loops aren't as strong as they could be.
Passenger seat is out ready for covering, with that out I'll take the drivers out and get the carpet up, clean that and silent coat it.

So today I hit the van early, stripped out the seats and flooring, cleaned the floor with thinners and treated a little patch of rust
. Put the silent coat on and refitted the newly covered drivers seat
(just need to figure out the armrests). Work in 45 minutes so will tackle the drivers armrests, passenger seat cover and remove the headlining to silent coat tomorrow.

Installed my new stereo, wired up under seat amp but couldn't get the bastard to fire up. Lights were on but nobody home. After an hour of trying to suss it out I gave up and moved on the stripping the headlining out, silent coat and coat of foil back bubble wrap(got some from wickes that is more of a foil/bubble wrap sandwich). It was baking hot and the inside of the van was like a sauna. I was surprised the difference the insulation made and how quickly. Ran out of silent coat so couldn't do the barn doors or the rear wheel arch.

Coming along nicely, Nate.
What setup have you got? How are you connecting to your head unit? Given you say the amp lights up, I'd assume your power is wired adequately. Check the frequency pass setting and gain pots are set right on the amp and inspect all connections on signal cable.Originally posted by nate6874 View Post

What head unit do you have?
Some you have to "switch" the amp on. It should be in the settings somwhere.
