Yep waste of space really so may aswell fill it up. The sub i bought is designed for shallow fit in small enclosures. This one is about 0.5cu ft, bit of wadding and it should boom niceley [emoji16]

Nice mock up! I'm thinking of doing this too - got a couple of old 10" kenwoods from back in the day... [emoji106]
Never used wadding in any sub boxes - does it make a difference?

It does, it makes it as if its in a bigger enclosure as it cuts down the reflection inside the enclosure. But as with all things bass it depends on so many variables. Sometimes it makes the sub less efficient blah blah. I do often wonder about all the parameters involved with car audio and think, do you actually notice the difference without having spl meters and point of reference shizzle. All black magic really. As long as its loud and clear im happy [emoji16]

If i set the volume right then you cant hear anything but your chosen time let alone the diesel engine.

Good choice putting it under seat - I had similar in my first van.

No room in the current one because I've already filled that space.

I do like those side bars, think your idea works well, maybe would look better with a bigger box section? But it does look much better than the usual tubes
