Cut out some 2mm epdm roofing rubber I had kicking around to replace the top and bottom spacers I removed from the rear shocks, and fitted a pair of short dampers to prevent springs falling out. They still rattle around when jacked up, but at least the stay put, will just have to swap over for mot time. When I get some more mojo and time I will be cutting down the rear bump stops as I only have about 10/15mm travel at the mo. Also need to concentrate on getting the front down to at least the same level of arch gap as the rear, which will involve at least trimming the bump stop and plate edge, or even go for the chassis notch, in two minds at the mo though...

Had to fit new brake pads, which was easy enough, but whilst doing that, noticed I had a water leak from a hose clip that had been put around the wrong way and had rubbed through. Managed to scrounge another pipe from a mate, so that was fine. Today the alternator shit the bed, which is annoying as the engine swap isn't too far away. I can't do without the van over the next week or so, so I'm now another 110 sovs short, another easy job to swap though.

I looked at the visor. They require riviteing to the roof, no? Dont want that, I have enough holes in my roof already

Yarp, I used rivnuts and tiger seal, if you don't want holes then no good

Got tired of driving around with no power steering and the belt noise was doing my head in. Had a go at removing the shims inside the power steering pulley, to find no shims already and the faces grooved to buggery. Blagged another pulley that wasn't as bad and job jobbed!
