They look great, I've thought of doing this to mine for the past 4 years but never got round to it.

Have you got a link to the pens?

So is 92w more than needed or less?

Quite a lot less! Need 101 on mine. But will depend on the type of van you have. 98 upwards is the norm.

Adventurevan is the man for tyre info!

Mine is a 1000kg payload - minimum for mine is 95 (690kg x4)... But that's probably too low for the front axle weight.

630kg on a 800 is probably scraping it, definitely not great if you're running with weight. But also 225/40r18 is smaller than 195/70r15 - so your big wheels actually look smaller than OE...

It wouldn't technically fail an MOT, but it could fail a vosa road side check - construction and use legislation, lowering manufacturers specification etc etc.

Wheel or tyre question? Just ask, it's what i do!

I'm not condoning running the wrong tyres or anything like that. I'm certainly not going against the advise of Adventure Van, he is our resident tyre expert and I for one would turn to him for tyre info...and will be doing so soon, I hope.
But surely if stopped by vosa etc and that said your tyres are 95 and they should 98 you could just shrug your shoulders and say that's what the garage fitted etc...blah blah. Who would fine you for that?

That said...I will be buying the right type etc and why wouldn't you?

I go with 97 on my 800 as its got the bed and cupboards in it, I just don't fancy going down the motorway and having an underrated tyre try and kill us [emoji106]

Ignorance is no defense in the eyes of the law. I've got 99 load rated tyres on my velle, being the closest to the original 101 s that were on it
