    • Stage two of the stereo install.
While the wife is at work she won't be able to see this.

Good job she doesn't read this. Anyway. These need to go beneath this seat. Will they fit?

I cut a little out of each side of the front part of the seat base. This should be enough.

This plinth should be sturdy enough to stop any vibrations.

          • With the sub mounted to the wood and another piece fastened just above that i can squeeze the amp in. I have left the fan underneath clear so it can still cool. I realise that a little of the sub is blocked but it shouldn't cause that much of a problem. I'm not looking for an award winning set up...just something I can hear.

This is the view from the rear and what I will see when back in the van.

Back in the van and with the wires run I can connect it up.
Which I do. It switches on when the radio turns on but as yet I am not getting any output from the speakers. I have to leave it for today and get the lad I bought them from to check it out for me on Sunday.

                              • After much faffing it was determined the amp is toast. This will be replaced by the guy from whom I bought it. Told him not to rush or panic as I want other stuff from him...like an ecu for Activ. Next then side bars.

Which meant I also had to fix my saggy door that now catches the bars.

Roof racks come into its own here. Tempory bodge fix as it needs more time..not sure what's causing the sagging.

If you are thinking of bars (like s49 is) then I would say they make a huge difference to the look for what they cost. Much more butch looking.
