To finish these off I need to secure the edges. As you can see the spray glue doesn't hold so good here. I suspected this would be the case so I didn't even bother spraying too heavy in this area. I always intended to glue it with superglue.

Same goes for here. This should stop the heat loosening the adhesive and peeling back.

And from above with the base removed you can see the hidden pocket.

Overall I'm happy enough with the results. Overall cost was 14 Euro for fabric and glued. I'm constantly suprised at how long stuff takes.

Looking good, I should do mine, they are shabby as hell.

It's amazing how long the prep takes compared to the fitting.

          • Going to finish the roof next. Should be fun. I want to add some silver panels of heat reflective paint. This should induce much piss taking from my work mate and boss.....I told you so, sort of thing.
In fact, our own resident Ant and Dec will probably be along soon posting some gentle ribbing.

                      • Soooooooo. Been a while. Not done a great deal to the fat lad, mainly because he keeps taking all my money, but nevermind. Its now the xmas hols and I'm sat in the park with the little one (watching some noncey weirdo hanging around) and I thought I would share my latest bodge ups.
I have been making some side steps to get in the back. Two off, as it's a twin slider. More about those when finished, another twelve months should do it. I am also making a tv cabinet for the roof in the rear but this is also on going. See below.

My focus, if you can call it that, has been on my newly discovered rust in a can. You may recall I covered the dash plastics in vinyl wrap, black woodgrain effect. Well the sun destroyed that in a matter of weeks. So it's gone. I'm now painting them in a distressed rusty steel effect.

                        • So I primed them grey but you don't need to see that. Next was the rust.

No for lots of drying (and paint fumes....heheheheheh) in front of the heater. Ooohhh she's gonna love this Xmas.

                            • Days later they are dry. Now, the effect is great and I love it but it is too much on its own. However opportunity to wind up my work mates and Boss was too good to pass so I refitted them and made out that is how it was staying and drove around at work for a week. Everybody hates it....can't see why myself.
