Road tax

From what I have heard from quite a few people is that road tax doesn't reduce, it stays the same regardless of whether it is a van or a conversion. Apparently it does reduce your insurance, which I hopefully will find out in the coming months as I will change mine to a camper

the m25 run the ring is for charity and costs £25 to sign up and do it properly. We might be doing it, you'll have to google it for the dates as l can't presently remember.

Sunday 24th September, it's £25 to register and it goes to a charity that supports children who have lost parents of the area forces, so I have just signed up

back on road tax, talking to a mate who has a huge lorry/motorhome, which he uses for towing his dragster, its also got 6 wheels, he pays £160 for road tax! He just shrugs and says well its a motorhome. Anyone got any ideas?

Our Caravelle is registered as a Camper Van and the Road Tax is significantly more than £200 (can't remember exactly how much). This could be because its old and therefore on the old tax bands?

Insurance is less than £200 though.

If it's a commercial it'll be significantly less.
