Hi folks, for those not in the know I'm about to start converting an old T4 into a full size lwb trailer fully kitted out like a caravan but 'Vanavan' seems more appropriate.
There's pics elsewhere of the original van (can't remember where I posted it mind)
The original pop top was made with a wooden frame with ply top and inner skins, alas years of neglect had rendered it 'kin neither use nor ornament.
Hence start at the top, get it watertight... Then the rest can commence.
Excuse my lads brickies arse
A sorrier state you couldn't imagine, all the ply had de-laminated and turned to dust..
.
A lot of TLC and we have a contender
Modern materials work wonders these days ...
Inner skin 1st.. And a brew
Nice new rubber seal attached...(God knows why they didn't think of that in the 1st place)
Topping out ceremony...
Our Gert is nesh at the best of times so insulation is a go go...
Ready to go go..
Second skinning..And a beer
Few bits and bobs of trim to finish off and a skylight to fit then a couple of k saved
