  • Caravelle/ Multivan Conversion!

Hi all. Been looking and lurking here a while now. So here goes with my first post! We first got "Terry" back in 2015 at Dubfreeze with the idea of seeing as much of England's coast as possible with our two boys. A side lift poptop was fitted and lots of ideas floated about the rest of the interior. Anyway, life dealt us a sh*t hand with the sudden death of my wife that November. I lost my drive & my mojo for most things and the T4 has stated pretty much as is since. We have still had plenty of adventures in him but build progress has been near zero!
Fast forward to 2018 and I've decided to get my arse into gear and get Terry finished! My late wife would certainly kick me up the posterior for delaying so bloody long! My plans are as follows...
Take out the full width r n r Multivan bed and fit 3/4 bed on unwin low profile rails along with full unit run already purchased, smev 9222 sink/hob and waeco fridge. Nothing too out there really!
First question (of many!)to you lot is Terry has a full plastic caravelle lining to the panels, would you take these out, sell them and fit a ply panel kit or leave Insitu & work around them, if so how does it work for fixing back units etc?
Thanks for the many hours entertainment you've all given me reading your posts, and for any advice you can give. Here's a few cheeky photos to get started...

    Hello and welcome!!
Sorry to hear of your loss, truly sad. But a t4 full of memory with space for new ones is a good place to be.
We are a friendly lot on here,,,,, if you can stand a little light ribbing, and like a bit of a laugh.

Personally I would keep the insides as they are (Maybe 're cover in a texture and colour of choice?) there's loads of space for insulation behind the panels.

Welcome to the forum mate, firstly my condolences to you [emoji852], your van looks pretty sweet, I personally would remove them to make life easier, but I'm sure it's been done with em in [emoji106]

Sell my T4 !!! I'd rather stick wasps up my butt.

Cheers Greeny, I definitely agree there on the new memories mate, and banter is my middle name so don't worry there! Thanks for the advice re the panels, how do you get a decent fixing back if keeping them in?

Fixing for what are you after? You can batton behind the panel and fix to that for things like tables and cupboards.

Welcome. Very nice van mate. Personally I would keep the plastic lining in the rear and work with it.
