Here is my new motor. She is a 2003 888 special 2.5tdi long nose. Full electrics pack with cruise control, 136k on the clock, service history to its first oil change, fantastic condition. Just one very small patch of rust on a rear arch.

Carpet lined, insulated, full width R&R bed with three 3 point belts.

Next we were looking for a unit with a hob and sink. As the seats / bed go forward to the front seats, the unit needed to go at the back

Now I didn't want an mdf one as they are easily damaged. All the ply ones were £800 and just out of budget.

Scouring eBay I came across a trailer tent kitchen. It has two burners, sink and a grill. Storage unit too and perfect width (though i do need to drill some rivets to remove some side shelfs). Has drop down legs fitted which I was going no to remove but the Mrs would like to keep them.

I'm going to make a ply unit for it to sit in with the legs folded up so we an access under the bed from the rear of the van. Click image for larger version

Been a while since I've posted here and a lot has gone on with the van, mostly mechanical.

September time I had full cambelt/water pump/ pulley and the other bits done by Steve Emms. Timing was well out. It was at 5 when it's should have been 55, which it is now.

This past month has been a busy one. Had the following done

            Removed egr & blanked.
            Fitted an Allard pipe
            Fitted an L200 intercooler
            K&N filter
            SS decat quad exit exhaust
            Adjustable remap

Van goes like stink now !!!

On the way to the remap I had a stone god the windscreen and scare the crap out of me. Result was a new windscreen with a blue top tint.

Checked and no rust while the windscreen was out.

Also I've fitted a heko bonnet deflector and a top black debadged grill. Trying to find a lower black grill

Finally I've had a diesel heater fitted. It's a webasto 3500 which I picked up for £40 last year. Had it fitted in the van all running and then it broke. Been told it's either the fan motor or ecu. Either which is expensive to repair and for the cost I may as well put a little extra to it.

Oh well everything is in place, so I can drop the new one in its place.

              Forgot about these

Had the offside window replaced by Hampshire Windscreens. The fixed window bonding had gone and each time I shut the drivers door, the window would move.

Anyway had a slider put in with the opening at the rear (for the dogs benefit)

              Finally for this evening....

Being a full width bed, you loose some storage space. Bought a second hand 4 bike rack for the van. Am going to get a box to put on so I can put awning, chairs and stuff like that to give me more space.

Had to get some updated gas struts for the back as the standard Ines wouldn't stay up.

Keep thinking of more stuff I've done.

Had this table custom made for me by Keith @ ChippysWorshop

Got a rail and adjustable leg to fit as well

Next on the list was the electrics. Long story short I'm running
                140amp split charge
                100amp quick charge leisure battery

                I'm the back I have
                6 USB port
                2 Ciggy lighter sockets
                1 voltage display

Also I have a 4 socket hook up which comes out through the false reflector.
                Nothing fancy but works well

Pics to follow as it's dark now

Lastly I've just picked up a new bike rack whilst in Lincoln. Nice Thule one for a steal of £40. Will be getting rid of the other one now as I prefer this one

Got rained off work today so decided to do a couple of bits.

First one was to fit a new rail in the sliding door. When I fitted the van X curtains I stupidly cut it too short. Sorted now

Next was fitting my table, rail & adjustable leg in the van.

Finally for today I've just ordered a new badge for the back of the van as the original one snapped a lug off the back.

Went for a Mr Zogs sex Wax one to match up with the table. It's not exactly the same, but will be the same colours. Here's a picture of what it will look like before paint.

The Mrs is going to paint it up for me as she is good with stuff like that

Not done a great deal since I last posted but a few things have changed....

I never did put the badge on.

The van got lowered at the front to match the rear. Partly not to get pulled amd secondly to save £100 on a ferry trip to Guernsey so I could get under a 1.85m barrier (it was close)
