  • Another newbie saying hi

Hi all. Newbie to the forum and T4 owner saying hi.

Currently have a 2003 2.5 auto, long nose factory black t4 Caravelle. Looking for advice on VW / Audi standard alloys that will be safe with a velle. Front axle weight suggests wheels rated at 750kg each.
Also whats the best place for side bars? Tried project power who seem to get great reviews but they have no stock.

Loving reading some of the current build threads and posts. Hopefully get some pics up when I start with the mods

    Scott

Hi Scott, welcome! I'm no expert on wheels but I think as long as you go for a high load rating wheel AND Tyre, you're ok

Welcome mate, I've got Audi A4 alloys on mine with load rated tyres not had a problem, it's got cupboards and 3/4 rock n roll bed, I don't mind throwing it round a bit and none have fallen off............ yet !!! 😂👍

Sell my T4 ? I'd rather stick wasps up my butt !!!

Thanks guys, I have seen some alloys by they say only rated to 690kg each so was worried about the axle weight etc. Anyhow, here's the bus...

Make sure they are load rated adequately we have been advised to have a load rating of 98 on the tyres as we found out the hard way that 93 wasn't enough. Both back tyres were ready to pop, luckily the damage was picked up before they did.

Adventure Van is the man for all things tyre and wheel related. If he doesn't stumble across your query, send him a pm. He really is very helpful with these queries.

                        Oh, and welcome.

Nice 👍 I'd like a set of banded 1 day but I'd have to modify them to take the T2 chrome caps, that'd be perfect for me.
