So sadly after 5yrs I have now left Team Orange and joined team blue..

Gone from a 2.4d to 2.5TDI 102....and the difference is amazing....

So far changed wheels, carpeted all the Caravelle panels, recovered headlining and installed spots, installed all split charge and stereo wiring.

Just need some more funds to carry on now...

                Cheers Adventure Van,

Pain in the arse to stretch the material round the curves, but a bit of patience and all was well...

Started on the door cards next.....

Removed door cards ready for stripping down and silent coated the doors, door shuts with a nice thud now......I used Silent coat all over the van, amazing how heavy this stuff is so may need a re-map and some ppo.5 injectors in the future...

Also covered the back of the door cards with silent coat, a bit OTT I know but since I bought some nice Focal 6.6 components to go in I thought why not.

I already bought some Audiosport door pockets to fit and test fitted these, Yes they are expensive but worth it, they are very good quality, just be very careful when fitting not to split the fibreglass...

Then started to strip and clean the old door cards...

I wanted to cover the upper arm rests of the door cards in the same material as the A-Pillars so had to remove the material from the armrest itself. What a nightmare but got there in the end...

Next up was putting it all back together....

had to glue and clamp to get the upper arm rests stuck back on the doorcard itself.....

Cheers Daz....trying to re-capture the old GTI tartan look, but in blue....

I've also used it to cover the rear door top cover thingy, the headlining joining strip and the caravel heater panel cover....
