Custom intercooler fittings! The VW ones are far too expensive so I might have a stab at making one up? Is it worth it without a remap? It’s the 88 bhp AJT engine.

Watching this one Danny, I have the same engine and plan to do some upgrades this Autumn.

What sort of thing are you thinking? Front mounted or top mounted?

Oh yea that’s the shit! Did you have to cut a hole in the bumper? How much did it cost in all do you think? Was it worth it?

They tell me that the power mine puts out I don't need an intercooler but I love playing with the thing.

That's it....we'll keep coming up with things to do to our vans. And long may it continue.

Dude, your OEM FaceBook offers at £100 will work out far cheaper than buying new from eBay.
If you want new, the hoses alone could cost you £100 for four ply silicon, mikalor hose clips a further £20, a few alloy pipes and a decent pressure tested IC another £100.
You could try and make one up from OEM Audi, Skoda, SEAT etc parts but you'll still need the hoses.

I cut a hole in the front bumper, and put in a lower middle grill from a Mk4 golf.

                          Sprinter/crafter intercooler - £40
Hoses - £50 reused a few golf ones...
                          Swaged end pipes - £30
                          Mk4 grill - £15
                          Sundries - £20

All rough prices from memory... [emoji106]
